Liberty Ruffled Collar Blouse (1)

English version

Now here is project 2/3 from my Liberty London fabric stash that I received from Minerva. This blouse is the pattern I’ve gotten the most use out of since buying the book « Intemporels pour bébés » Tome 2 (ruffled collar blouse) by Citronille. I’ve been sewing them for Jade since she was 6 months old. These are blouses she truly wears all year round; in winter and spring, I put them under a sweater. The ruffled collar allows the blouse to remain visible under the sweater.

For this project, I wanted a Liberty print with a maximum of two colors. I scoured the Liberty fabrics at Minerva looking for the perfect Liberty, one that wasn’t too babyish, not too girly, but still romantic. I found this Liberty Mahogany. It pairs very well with dark anise, burgundy red, burnt orange, mauve—in short, many other autumnal colors, but not exclusively.
