#Aubergine & Plum – Shift dress

The Burda 09.2012 shift dress. I already made it here in mineral/petrol blue.

The fabric choice: It’s been 2 years now since I brought back a plain aubergine-plum colored fabric from Ghana. Ever since I bought it, I knew exactly what pattern I was going to use it for, but I put off sewing it for a long time because I was missing the little shoes that would go well with it 🙂 Yes… I know, if I don’t have the complete look ready, it doesn’t motivate me to sew… hahaha.

Small problem, the fabric wasn’t enough… So the dress… Too short! :-/

The making: Rather super nice! Especially since I already had the pattern cut out (tracing a pattern is a real chore for me).

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Result: I really like the color. I just regret the fact that the dress is short.
[ENGLISH]
I used the pattern of the 09.2012 Burda shift dress. I already made this dress here in prussian blue.
About the fabric: I brought this fabric from Ghana 2 years ago in some kind of Aubergine-Boysenberry color. I knew exactly what I wanted to do with this fabric when I got it, but I always wanted to have a complete look before sewing (yeahh I needed the little matching shoes to go with it).
Slight little problem… The fabric was too small.. so the dress… was too short :-/
The realization: Really simple! (especially as I already had the pattern already cut out in my size).
The Result: I like the color of the fabric. I only regret the fact that the dress is too short…
