Who Am I?

Elaine

My name is Elaine, and I live in Paris. In 2012, I suddenly discovered my creative side after a painful relationship ended and, at the same time, I was experiencing deep boredom at work. Following the advice of a good friend, I started creating to give meaning to my life, sewing as an unconscious way to heal…

What seemed like a temporary hobby has taken a significant place in my life. Now I create all kinds of outfits, with creativity and style as my guiding principles. This adventure has been so life-saving for me that today, I bring along all those who wish to develop new skills (even as a hobby) and who want to flourish by creating unique clothes and accessories. Through my online presence, I also want to show that with enough sewing practice, you can create garments worthy of designers. It’s also an alternative to fast fashion, which has harmful consequences for the planet and its inhabitants.

laPetiteMaisonCouture has appeared in several magazines such as Marie-Claire idées, ADN les essentiels, and Suzie Mag. I have also worked with the Marie-Claire brand and collaborated on the publication of the book Couture Wax, published in 2020 by Mango editions.

Today, still with the aim of helping you create with style and personality, I am launching into the creation of derivative products that use the positive and encouraging power of words. Feel free to visit the shop to discover the beauty of these products, and see where this adventure takes us!
