Cela fait un bon moment que j’\u00e9tais \u00e0 la recherche d’un mod\u00e8le de manteau un peu ample avec de grands cols, puis un jour en surfant sur burdastyle.com, je suis tomb\u00e9e sur le mod\u00e8le du manteau 102 du Burda d’ao\u00fbt 2010, qui m’a tout de suite plue. Je me suis donc lanc\u00e9e dans la r\u00e9alisation de ce manteau mains et pieds li\u00e9s.<\/p>\n

Le choix du tissu:<\/strong> Drap de laine bleu de 3m trouv\u00e9 \u00ab\u00a0au gentleman des tissus\u00a0\u00bb rue d’Orsel. J’\u00e9tais vraiment persuad\u00e9e que ce tissu n’allait pas me causer de probl\u00e8mes mais \u00e0 ma grande surprise il y a pleins de bouloches qui se forment!??!!! Je porte ce manteau depuis seulement 2 semaines mais c’est comme si je l’avais sorti du fond d’un placard. Toutefois, \u00e0 part ce probl\u00e8me de peluche le tissu tombe parfaitement bien. L’\u00e9paisseur, la consistance et le tomb\u00e9 du tissu me conviennent parfaitement.<\/p>\n

La r\u00e9alisation:<\/strong> Sans lire les instructions tout \u00e9tait clair pour moi \u00e0 part les manches dites \u00ab\u00a0Marteau\u00a0\u00bb que je redoutais notamment pour le coin int\u00e9rieur de manche qui, si rat\u00e9, peu former un affreux pli. Mais c’\u00e9tait OK. Comme vous pouvez le voir, j’ai effectu\u00e9 une modification au niveau du col en excluant justement le col. Du coup j’obtiens un col rond, ce qui \u00e0 mon sens rajoute plus de style et d’individualit\u00e9 \u00e0 ce manteau.<\/p>\n

\nR\u00e9sultat:<\/strong> J’aime beaucoup la forme japonisante des manches. Je vais sans doute refaire ce manteau dans une couleur camel, un peu plus court et cette fois-ci avec les grands cols du mod\u00e8le d’origine ET UN MEILLEUR TISSU!<\/p>\n

I have been looking for a specific pattern for a coat for a long while now. The criterias were the following: broad cut, lapel collar and blue. Then last month when surfing on burdastyle.com, I fell on pattern 102 of August 2010 Burdastyle magazine I knew that this is the pattern I was longing for.<\/p>\n

About the fabric:<\/strong> I found this wool fabric of 3 meters at \u00ab\u00a0au gentleman des tissus\u00a0\u00bb rue d’Orsel in Paris. I was very persuaded that this fabric would not cause me any problem but to my great surprise, once sewn and worn the wool started producing bobbles :-\/ (as you can see in the pictures).<\/p>\n

About the realization:<\/strong> Almost everything was clear in the explanations, except from the sleeves. Unless I have mistaken these particular sleeves are called Saddle sleeves. I was somehow afraid to assemble the back and the front as the curve could really worry me. If a mistake is made it can be so very obvious. But all went on OK. However as you can see a slight modification was made to the collar \ud83d\ude00 In fact after trying on the coat after the main pieces were assembled I found it kind of cool and trendy to not add the collar and just keep this round collar. It adds some style and a personal touch.<\/p>\n

\nThe result:<\/strong> Not bad! I really like the Japanese touch of the sleeves.
