I thought it was super ingenious, practical, and easy to make. Tuck it under a sweater, and only you know what&#8217;s going on underneath. <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>MATERIALS<\/b><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2470\" src=\"https:\/\/lapetitemaisoncouture.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/image30.jpg\" alt=\"image\" width=\"490\" height=\"327\"><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Shirt<\/b> (men&#8217;s or women&#8217;s, as long as it fits well at the neck<b>)<br \/>\n<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Thread<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Scissors&nbsp;<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Label<\/b> (optional but useful if you want to give it as a gift)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>STEP 1: Cut the Front Panel<\/b><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2471\" src=\"https:\/\/lapetitemaisoncouture.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/image31.jpg\" alt=\"image\" width=\"490\" height=\"337\"><\/p>\n<p>Fold your shirt in half lengthwise, making sure the shoulder seams line up.<\/p>\n<p>Draw two perpendicular lines: one starting from the shoulder seam going down, and the other from an imaginary point between the 3rd and 4th button (or between the 4th and 5th button, your choice).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2482\" src=\"https:\/\/lapetitemaisoncouture.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/image40.jpg\" alt=\"image\" width=\"490\" height=\"334\">&nbsp;Connect them by drawing a freehand curve, or mark points on each axis as shown in the image above. Connect them with a curve that passes 3.5 cm from the intersection point of the axes. Cut.  <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2473\" src=\"https:\/\/lapetitemaisoncouture.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/image33.jpg\" alt=\"image\" width=\"490\" height=\"412\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>STEP 2: REDUCE THE BACK LENGTH<\/b><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2475\" src=\"https:\/\/lapetitemaisoncouture.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/image35.jpg\" alt=\"image\" width=\"490\" height=\"344\"><\/p>\n<p>The length in the back isn&#8217;t very useful, so reduce it to keep only 15 cm of length in the back.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>STEP 3: FINISHING<\/b><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2476\" src=\"https:\/\/lapetitemaisoncouture.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/image36.jpg\" alt=\"image\" width=\"490\" height=\"378\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Your collar is almost finished. For finishing the edges, here are 4 options: finish the edges with a serger, make a mini hem, use a zigzag stitch, or use fray-check glue (ideal if you don&#8217;t have a sewing machine). That&#8217;s it, you&#8217;re done. Make sure to match the shoulder seams. <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>Draw two perpendicular lines: one starting from the shoulder top and the other starting at the middle of the 3rd and 4th button (or between the 4th and 5th button).<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>Now link the two lines by drawing a freehand curve or make marks on each line as shown in the image and join the marks.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><b>STEP 2: REDUCE BACK LENGTH<\/b><br \/>\nThe length in the back is not very useful.
