This is the first dress from the R\u00e9publique Du Chiffon<\/a> patterns that I’ve sewn. I really love these patterns; they are truly designer pieces! <\/p>\n

I also picked up a copy of the book “Un \u00e9t\u00e9 couture<\/a>,” and here I am, embarking on a series of adventures with the El\u00e9onore dress as my first choice \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Fabric choice:<\/strong> A fabric found at “Les Merveilles de Saint-Pierre.” A 3m 100% cotton remnant from B\u00e9atrix and Pascal. The cotton is opaque, soft, not too light and not too stiff\u2014just right. G\u00e9raldine, the author of “Un \u00e9t\u00e9 couture,” recommends using a fabric with a bit of body. <\/p>\n

The process:<\/strong> Quite fun and simple. I decided not to add buttonholes because, with the busy pattern of the fabric, I thought it could look great kept simple. <\/p>\n

\nThe result:<\/strong> Lovely! I’m wearing it with blue tights and my D\u00e9sir d’Hiver<\/a> coat!!! It’s smart and pretty for the office with a jacket over it. In summer with little open-toed heels… It works! <\/p>\n

They made it too: C de Syle<\/a>, Zava<\/a>, sylvieMtout<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This is the very first item I’m sewing from the R\u00e9publique Du Chiffon<\/a> patterns. I really like their patterns as they have a designer touch.
\nI also got my copy of “Un \u00e9t\u00e9 couture<\/a>” and here I am ready to start the R\u00e9publique Du Chiffon adventure. My No. 1 choice is the El\u00e9onore dress \ud83d\ude42 <\/p>\n

About the fabric:<\/strong> I got this fabric from “Les Merveilles de Saint-Pierre.” A 3-meter 100% cotton fabric from B\u00e9atrix et Pascal fabric designers. The process:<\/strong> Really nice and simple. I decided not to add any buttons as the pattern of this fabric is quite busy. I told myself that adding no buttons could also look nice. <\/p>\n

\nThe result:<\/strong> Nice! I wear the dress with blue tights and my D\u00e9sir d’Hiver<\/a> coat. Simple and smart for the office with a little blazer over it. During the summer, I can picture myself wearing the dress with some gorgeous little stilettos… Yep! Totally into it! <\/p>\n
