this coat on pattern 110 from the March 2012 Burda magazine. This is actually the pattern I bought that month&#8217;s Burda for! <a href=\"http:\/\/lapetitemaisoncouture.files.wordpress.com\/2013\/10\/bonjour-automne2.jpg\"><br \/>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_434\" style=\"width: 234px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/lapetitemaisoncouture.files.wordpress.com\/2013\/09\/todo-manteau.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-434\" class=\"size-full wp-image-434\" src=\"http:\/\/lapetitemaisoncouture.files.wordpress.com\/2013\/09\/todo-manteau.jpg\" alt=\"todo-manteau\" width=\"224\" height=\"396\"><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-434\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Burda Image<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Fabric choice:<\/strong> My fabric seller on Rue d&#8217;Orsel (18th arrondissement), seeing me hesitate over the fabric, told me it came from a major fashion house (whose name I&#8217;ll keep quiet for fear of&#8230; what??? anyway. It&#8217;s better this way!). So I took this 3-meter piece. Note that it was originally meant for a cape, but actually no&#8230; I don&#8217;t think it would have been suitable enough for a cape project.  <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>The construction:<\/strong> For once, no modifications made! Far be it from me to be unfaithful!!! (truth be told I really lacked confidence&#8230; but anyway what would I have changed?!!). Well it&#8217;s true that for the seams I just did things my own way by attempting a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.trucsetdeco.com\/couture\/couture-rabattue-couture-double.html\">double stitch<\/a> as a finish for the visible seams on the jacket. It really gives a professional effect. But the concentration I had for this jacket was insane!!! I&#8217;m telling you!!! Indeed, doing a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.trucsetdeco.com\/couture\/couture-rabattue-couture-double.html\">double stitch<\/a> when YOU DON&#8217;T HAVE A DOUBLE NEEDLE on your machine&#8230; That&#8217;s tough!     <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">~~~~~~~~~~<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Result:<\/strong> A friend who&#8217;s a quality controller for LVMH told me: &#8220;Are you sure you made this jacket yourself? I don&#8217;t see any flaws.&#8221; Hey now!! <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">_______________________________________________________________<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>[ENGLISH]<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This pattern is based on coat 110 of the March 2012 Burda magazine. I intentionally bought this magazine for this specific pattern. <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">[Burda image]<\/p>\n<p><b>About the fabric:<\/b> My favorite fabric seller on Rue d&#8217;Orsel (18<sup>th<\/sup>, Paris), saw me hesitating on whether or not to take this fabric. He told me that he had received it from one of the prestigious French fashion house. I decided to take 3 meters (yeah the &#8220;fashion house&#8221; thing helped). Please note that I was buying this fabric for a cape project, but just ended up deciding that the fabric would not be appropriate for a cape.   <\/p>\n<p><b>About the realization:<\/b> For once, no modification was made by me! To be honest I was lacking a little confidence\u2026 But anyway, what could I have changed? OK.. I made a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.trucsetdeco.com\/couture\/couture-rabattue-couture-double.html\">double needle stitch<\/a> for the finishing, and I should admit that the the stitches give it a true professional finishing. However, I was so very much concentrated for this type of stitching, because as you may know, doing a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.trucsetdeco.com\/couture\/couture-rabattue-couture-double.html\">double needle stitch<\/a> with a single needle machine\u2026 can be tough! <\/p>\n<p>~~~~~~~~~~<\/p>\n<p><b>The Result<\/b>: A friend of mine who works at the quality control dept. for LVMH , told me last week: &#8220;Are you sure you made this yourself? I do not see any mistake&#8221;.
