It’s been a while since I’ve tried to sit down and write this new article for you. But there have been so many things to do between Christmas preparations, the gifts that come with it, my 30th birthday week (which ends tomorrow, by the way), etc… In short, December is synonymous with organization, preparations, celebrations, festivities, but also INTENSIVE SEWING!<\/p>\n

This time my machine worked hard for this co-ord outfit sewn in a burgundy and indigo checked Herm\u00e8s fabric that I bought for my mother and myself.<\/p>\n

The top corresponds to Burda pattern #130 from 07\/2013 (Retro top). I had already made this top in a somewhat whimsical way here<\/a>. I added a Peter Pan collar that I simply drew by hand using a French curve. For those who would like to learn how to attach this lovely little collar, I suggest checking out the Peter Pan collar tutorial<\/a> that helped me. The skirt corresponds to the lower part of the Melinda dress from R\u00e9publique du chiffon patterns<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Actually I have been running around as Xmas is almost here, sorting\/sewing out all the presents that come with it, my 30th birthday week (that is ending tomorrow…!). So this December has been an interesting month, filled with organization, parties, celebrations, but also INTENSIVE SEWING! <\/em><\/p>\n
