I am introducing today what has become the star T-shirt of my wardrobe. In fact, I have been looking for a raglan sleeve T-shirt pattern for a while now. So when I saw Jolies Bobines’ Bambi tee<\/a> (made with a blue version of this fabric from fifi jolipois), I thought: “No way! Where did she find this pattern?!” That’s how I discovered that Papercut patterns had released a raglan sleeve T-shirt pattern. But too good to be true… the pattern cost $25. Although there is surely a justification for this pattern’s price, personally I didn’t feel very “comfortable” with the idea of paying $25 for a T-shirt pattern. However, what I find positive in this kind of experience is the way that, when faced with certain situations, we are led to search, dig, rummage, work around, imagine, in short… find a solution! <\/p>\n

My solution? Well, I found it at Hey June, with the downloadable Lane raglan T-shirt<\/a> pattern for \u20ac6,<\/i>53 <\/i>($8). <\/p>\n


\nI am introducing today what has become my favourite T-shirt. In fact I have been looking for a T-shirt pattern with raglan sleeves for a while now. \nEven though there must be an explanation to this price, I personally think that paying 25 box for a T-shirt pattern is quite pricey. But to be honest I sometimes like having these types of challenges as it pushes me to dig, nose around, imagine, and… just look for a way out! <\/i><\/p>\n

My way out? Well, I found it with Hey June’s downloadable Lane raglan T shirt<\/a> that I purchased for \u20ac6.53 ($8). <\/i><\/p>\n

As you can see, my version looks different from the original pattern. Here are the modifications I made:
\n– Size M instead of S (I didn’t want it too close to my body)
\n– Shortened the sleeves
\n– Widened the neckline (I learned to use a French curve to make a nice rounded edge)

I am IN LOVE with my top and I’m still looking for beautiful jersey fabrics to make more. By the way Fifi jolipois, if you happen to read this, I have a little request for you: “Wouldn’t it be great to have a jersey with fox or owl heads in orange\/ochre on a navy blue background?” :)) <\/p>\n

As you can see, my version is a little different from the original pattern. Here are the modifications I brought:

\n– And made the collar wider
