Here is my version of the Melinda playsuit, a R\u00e9publique du Chiffon pattern,<\/a> which I sewed for summer days at work.
\nI was about to sew the Salme Playsuit pattern<\/a>. But I was much more drawn to the Melinda from RDC because of its slightly structured cut, its pretty little darts, the waistband, and the 4 small buttons above the shoulders.
\nWhether during the week or on weekends, this pattern is great for a “relaxed” summer look, as I like to call it. But beware of urgent pee breaks!!! Oh yes! Because for last-minute pee-ers (like me), arriving at the restroom in a hurry and realizing you need a few extra seconds to undo 4 buttons and unzip the zipper… It can quickly turn into a drama! <\/p>\n

That said, a Salme playsuit is in the works \ud83d\ude42 In fact, it’s not that I don’t like this pattern, but I think it would be much better showcased if sewn in a fairly fluid fabric…<\/p>\n

Here is my version of the Melinda Jumpsuit (R\u00e9publique du Chiffon)<\/a>, that I made for the bright and sunny days I was hoping for this summer. At the beginning I was hesitating between the Salme playsuit<\/a> and the Republique du chiffon’s jumpsuit. However, in front of it’s structured cut, it’s gracious pleats, the band on the stomach, and the 4 little bottons on the shoulder… I totally went for the Melinda jumpsuit. <\/em>
\n Whether you wear it during the week or on weekends, this jumpsuit is ideal for a “relaxed and confy” style. However when it’s time to “pee”, giiiiirl! head straight to the loo! because if you are a last minute person (like me) trust me.. before you remember that you have 4 buttons to undo, and a zip to unzip… It might be too late!<\/em><\/p>\n

Anyway, a Salme combi is on it’s way \ud83d\ude42 Actually it’s not that I don’t like this pattern. I simply think that the Salme playsuit goes very well with a flowing fabric. <\/em><\/p>\n
