Quick! Quick! Before winter arrives and this post becomes completely out of sync with what we’re starting to experience (well, I’m not going to complain because 19 degrees Celsius for late October… that’s not too bad).<\/p>\n

Glace so coco! It’s been a while since I wanted to make myself a little top, especially to wear under a blazer for work. I think what held me back the most was not finding the right pattern. <\/p>\n

I ended up settling for model 109 from the 05\/2011 Burda, only to discover the perfect pattern I needed the following month in the 10\/2014 Burda (model 117).<\/p>\n

I think I’ll either modify it to have a straight neckline or make another one in a different color. Wardrobe-wise, these little silk tops are must-haves; for a casual look on the weekend over Boyfriend jeans (like here\u2014see my simple tutorial for the Boyfriend jeans<\/a> I’m wearing), or during the week at work with a blazer, slim pants or a skirt, and pumps. In fact, I often wear mine with a beige blazer over grey slim jeans and it’s… sharp! (I promise I’ll post a photo). <\/p>\n

Glace so coco*! Is the the new silk tank top I worked on recently. I have been wanting a cream color light silk top to wear more often under a blazer at work. However I had been hunting for a pattern for a long time and so I just ended up using pattern 109 of the 05\/2011 Burda issue, only to fall on the adequate pattern a few weeks later in the 10\/2014 Burda issue (pattern 117). <\/i><\/p>\n

To be honest, I do not think that this pattern is adequate for silk fabrics especially because of the difficulty to join the cords to the garment. I might sew another version in a different color. In a wardrobe point of view, these silk tank tops should be Must-haves in every modern woman’s wardrobe, as she can wear it out for a casual style on the weekend (with a pair of Boyfriend jeans – see my simple tutorial for the BF jeans<\/a> I am wearing here) or for a chic-casual look at work, with a blazer, skinny pants and a pair of heels. By the way I often wear my top out with a beige blazer and grey skinny jeans, for a chic-casual look. (I promise to post a picture soon). <\/i><\/p>\n
