Hotpockets! – la jupe

La jupe #Hotpockets! correspond au modèle de la jupe Burda 126, du 05/2011 (Merci à Anna de m’avoir envoyée son magazine depuis Marseille!):

Alors… Cette jupe je l’ai vu chez Jolies bobines… Et comme vous pouvez le voir, c’est une copie conforme (Jolies bobines pardonnez-moi  pour ce péché). Je ne sais pas ce que j’ai avec cette jupe, mais dès que je l’ai vu il y a de cela 6 mois, je me suis dit C’EST TOI!!! Il y a quelque chose avec cette jupe. Je ne sais pas quoi, mais il y a quelque chose.

Le choix du tissu: C’est bien là qu’a été tout mon dilemme. Pour être honnête, ceci est la deuxième jupe que je réalise, ayant complètement échoué à la première tentative. En effet j’étais allée acheter une espèce de gabardine marron… alors je ne vous dit pas quand la jupe fut terminée… j’avais un espèce e gros truc autour de ma taille, genre un parachute. Mais vraiment. C’était juste affreux! Ça m’a un peu rappelé ma mésaventure avec la jupe Elisalex Remix. Mais comme je la voulais vraiment cette jupe à poches, je m’en suis pas arrêtée là. Je suis reparti à la chasse, cette fois-ci pour rentrer avec un coton tout fin, d’ailleurs un peu trop fin!

La réalisation: C’était sympa quand même. J’ai rendu la jupe un peu plus courte que celle du modèle. Et pour l’assemblage… Il fallait y penser! quels ingénieurs ces modélistes!

Résultat: Correcte. Mais la prochaine fois je choisirai un  coton un peu plus épais. Mais pour cette fois-ci, avec le coup du parachute… pardon mais j’ai juste eu trop peur de tenter la moindre épaisseur.

So let talk a bit about this skirt… I first saw it at Jolies bobine’s… As you can see, this is a certified copy of her skirt (Jolies bobines, please forgive me for this sin). I do not know what is happening between this skirt and I, but I am just fond! There is something in this skirt, I don’t know what but there is something!

About the fabric: It all started here ! To be honest this is the second skirt I have made using this pattern, as the first one was a complete failure! I had bought some kind of light brown gabardine, not that light… so you can imagine when the skirt was done… I had this kind of big parachute hanging around my waist. Seriously! It was awful. It kind of reminded me of my misadventure with my Elisalex Remix skirt. However, as I was really keen on having my skirt with large pockets, it did not stop me! I went immediately back, hunting for a LIGHT coton fabric, I came back with a very light one indeed!

About the realization: It was kind of fun. I shortened the skirt, making it shorter than the original pattern. Regarding the assembly of the various pieces, I would not have thought of it by myself! These pattern makers are  truly ingenious!

The result Correct. However next time I will choose a heavier coton fabric. Just slightly heavier. Sorry but for this time the parachute experience just freaked me out.
